Falafel Bistro and Wine Bar serves some of most wholesome food in the county as it serves only vegetarian Mediterranean health conscious cuisine. And now they finally moved into a newer, larger more comfortable location! So now you can make reservations and the restaurant can easily accommodate larger parties. You GOTTA try this place to believe it. The so sweet chef/owner claims that the menu items are all the things HE loves to eat (and lucky for us) things he’s also good at preparing. The menu is home to dishes with Sephardic, Greek, Turkish and Balkan influences from his mother’s side and the Mediterranean dishes come from his father’s heritage. Every item is prepared to order, which translates to fabulously fresh Greek Salads, Traditional Israeli salads and authentic Hummus which is prepared FRESH at least 9 times a day. He has perfected his secret Falafel recipe into this wondrous delight, which is just the right texture, crispy not oily. There are sandwiches, like the Tuscan with Roasted Eggplant, a Greek Sandwich & even an omelette sandwich. Gourmet wraps such as Sea Bass or Mahi Mahi with Beets are on the menu while more are on the daily board such as the Hummus & Grilled Portabella with red pepper, cucumber, picante sauce & sprouts or the Avocado Wrap with melted mozzarella, onion, avocado, grilled red pepper & sprouts, or your choice of a flaky crepe either the Provence or Parisian. The kitchen is always creating “new” special items like the Strawberry Field Salad w/sesame seared Mahi with almonds, shaved parmesan and tomatoes with a fresh strawberry balsamic dressing which has become the new hit. There’s even a Bistro Kid’s menu with grilled cheese and french fries, or a pita pizza. Now there’s also a selection of great wines by the glass or bottle or beer along with Lattes & espresso. Nightly dinner specials include pasta or fish specials of Tilapia, Sea Bass with a choice of one of three sauces, Dijon Mustard with thyme & herbs, cilantro garlic or a picante Moroccan sauce. Complete dinner includes Israeli salad, hummus AND pita & rice or couscous. Choice of a complimentary glass of wine or dessert is included with the fish dinner. Homemade soups change daily. Come by for some great home cooking that’s good for the heart & made with love. Call ahead 20 minutes for pickup orders. If nothing else, order a soup & try it at home. You’ll be back for more!
